Acting responsibly and giving back provides long term, sustainable benefits to our employees, our communities and our business.
Our employees are our most valuable asset. That’s why we actively support and reward their efforts to pursue their passions in the workplace, at home, and in the community. We know that each person’s ideas, personal and professional well-being, and enthusiastic involvement are essential to the sustained success of our organization —and crucial to the quality of work-life balance our employees deserve.
Vidya Herbs have ventured into the area of contract farming. We have engaged over 3000 farmers in the state of Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the cultivation of medicinal plants spread over an area of more than 10000 acres. Vidya Herbs is a proud supporter of programs that assist farmers and their families, protect land use, and promote sustainable growing practices. We support farmers with required equipments in order for better harvest. These programs benefit every group involved in the trading process – producers, workers, wildlife and consumers.
We at Vidya Herbs always think of Rural Child Education. We believe that children are our future and we must invest in them to ensure their foundations are strong. We have taken number of initiatives in supporting the children of our farmers by setting up computer labs in the schools and providing learning aids, books to the childrens. This will allow them to continue expansion and modernizing technology in their curriculum. This allows the children in the school to obtain a distinct advantage with these advanced learning tools.
We believe our expertise, products, and global reach must be applied creatively toward preserving and enhancing our environment. We use scientific life cycle assessments to help determine where we can improve the environmental performance of our products including the agricultural phase (working with farmers). We continually work to reduce emissions, eliminate waste and improve our water treatment systems.
